An elegant handmade Shakti weave rug, Afshan is an elegant traditional arts and crafts carpet that grabs the attention in a room. The quality of handmade is at its finest with lovely floral motifs that grace the field and border of this rug. Afshan Pale Taupe was hand-knotted in Nepal of 100% hand carded, hand-spun and hand-dyed Himalayan wool using our Shakti weave. The pile height is an average of 0.75cm and has a soft, smooth finish. Afshan Pale Taupe is adorned with yellow, beige and light brown accents over a taupe field and mossy green border.

Our extremely handmade rugs are made with as much care as possible. When choosing a rug, please be aware that slight pattern changes may happen, but the rug will still look beautiful! In other words, a 3x5 may be slightly different than a 12x16.
Our extremely handmade rugs may be of a slightly different size (up to 3 inches). This is due to the beautiful hand-knotted and hand-tufted nature of our rugs.
Vacuum regularly. Loose threads should be trimmed with a scissor (do not pull!). Rug protectors are recommended. If your new rug is exposed to the sun, it is a good idea to rotate regularly to prevent uneven wear. Blot spills with a clean towel (white is best). Cleaning the entire rug should be handled by a professional rug cleaning service.
